Editing Approach
PRODUCE A WRITER'S E-NOTEBOOK in the style of a director’s storyboard, to record his creative process throughout the programme.
PRODUCE AN E-STORYBOOK using the film and photography from the series of workshops to create an electronic storybook. The digital book could be played on an interactive whiteboard and ipad by individuals or as a whole class. The e-Book includes audio, film footage and iphonography.
The Impact
RAISING SELF - ESTEEM The young people with special needs were able to return to the story that they had created with the director during the festival and re-live the learning experience, recognise their creative potential which in turn raised their self-esteem.
SUSTAINABLE TEACHING RESOURCE The E-Book was used as a sustainable teaching resource and shared with all students and families.
REVENUE GENERATOR The STEP Festival were able to distribute the e-Books to all the participating schools in Southwark, the wider community and future sponsors in order to generate future funding for the festival.
PROJECT LEGACY The Writer's E-Notebook documented Crying in the Wilderness Productions' creative process enabling the company to seek new creative partnerships and future funding from the Arts Council.
